Blue Shot Meadow, Clifton upon Teme
The layout has been designed with landscaping and ecology at its forefront; proposing a high level of planting and open space. Amphibians have been detected in the pond area located in the north western corner of the layout; as such a ‘newt corridor’ was established along the western boundary which enabled the amphibians to transfer between the pond and the proposed biodiversity area without obstruction. The southern built form is curved to provide an organic edge whilst providing strong surveillance. Green space separates the site through the middle to break up the built form and to provide a setting for the newly planted trees to mature; echoing the ideas of the historic green center at the core of the village.
